by The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification inviting applications for the positions of Geologist, Geophysicist, and Chemist in the Geological Survey of India. Additionally, applications are also being accepted for the position of Scientist B in the Central Ground Water Board. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply for the 2024 examination before the 10th of this month.
To be eligible for these positions, candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 32. Certain concessions may be applicable for candidates belonging to specific categories, as per the government’s guidelines.
The examination process will consist of two stages – the Preliminary examination and the Main examination. The Preliminary examination is scheduled to take place on the 18th of February in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Successful candidates from the Preliminary examination will then proceed to the Main examination, which is expected to be held in June.
